Why Making Jesus Famous
One funny thing about fame is how it intrinsically co-opts the attention of the fans. Fans think about, talk about, converse about, give attention to what they are fans of. This is great and can be even greater if we co-opt it for Jesus.
I’ve been taking the remote away from my mind for many years. I don’t allow my attention to wander around, since the pitfalls, hooks and traps provided by the world, my flesh, and the devil, abound, and I don’t want to tangle with any of them.
That’s what sparked the idea for the Jesus Names series. I wanted to create products that grab my attention and direct it toward God3. Any time I look at a mug or notebook, or anytime someone looks at a tee shirt or sweat shirt with the names on it, they’ll automatically, by default, think about The King, even for the briefest of moments.
So, if we team up what we’re wearing and using, with how the human mind works, we’ll keep our thoughts on the straight and narrow, and Jesus will become even more famous.
